There is nothing wrong with engineering. It’s just that there’s a lot of people who don’t know how to apply an engineering mindset in the financial or make-a-lot-of-money business today. You might think it’s too much work to be a finance guy, but you could be wrong. In fact, by applying the same principles you can develop any business, even if it’s not in the financial arena. In this post I’ll show you how to create your own business on a new level instead of relying on your collaborators or co-workers for support. For more information on building a business from scratch, check out my book “Finance vs Engineering” .

Engineering does work, it’s just not as easily quantifiable and understandable as the way money works. First of all it doesn’t have a clear path or goals and hence doesn’t have the ability to measure the success of its efforts. Second, it is often hard to apply engineering skills or mastery in various different fields because ignorance is common. Using professional-grade engineering skills from an accredited college may be beneficial but this is not always feasible for most people. In that case, one step should be taken to provide an alternative.

I’ve always been a big fan of engineering, and I’m happy to share that knowledge with you. There are many times when people get lost in their lab so a little bit of investment in engineering can save your day.
